Weight reduction.
Removed the items on the left replaced with the item on the right, it all helps.

A bit of progress tonight before it started to rain, new hinges bolted down with big flat washers and locking washers, more fiddely than Mr Fiddle, playing the fiddle on Fiddler on the Roof (kept dropping the washers and had to shake the boot to get them out of the double skin). Check straps fitted amd I have decided to bin the lifting rams and will have something more simple instead, mayby even a handle.

Rain stopped play last night still need to sand the lid to get the shut right, now the sun is shining but the GP starts in half and hour, have to tear myself away to watch it and continue later.

My penance for watching two Fiats get on the podium, more rain, just started filling around the hinges.

Does anyone know what these are called? As a few have broken when I took the carpet up and I need to order some more.

The wheels look good you may need split adapters, I got mine from the US, to fit original wheels, went from 4x100 PCD to 5x108, the kits arches are wide enough for this even had to use spacers on the rear.
