Movie teaser
I was talking with some college kids who are doing TV & Film Studies and mentioned the screen play I had written for a short movie.
**SPOILER ALERT**
The basic plot is that a bloke sees a classic car in a magazine, drives around various garages looking for it, brings it home and restores it before driving off into the sunset. It is basically an excuse to film some pretty cars and driver around a bit.
**END SPOILER ALERT**
This is the teaser, the main film is being entered into the international student film festival in February.

If any people or cars want cameo appearances please let me know - you will need to get near Southampton though.

Sounds like fun. I'll get my people to speak to your people about expenses, royalties, copyright and repeat fees, etc.

Reason: No forgetting, disclaimers, indemnities, insurances, animal protection during filming, marketing, typeface size on the poster

Cool indeed ! Can't wait for the big screen adaptation !
No joking, everyone with a phone/camera could with a bit of imagination, create something worth posting on youtube. It would make a change from the usual nonsense that's on there !
I hope the students do well in the future

It's possible. A friend of ours read Film Studies at Leeds Uni. As well as a year in Oz where he met his American (now) wife, he now handles the marketing budgets for some big films- "Peterloo" being his latest to hit the screen.

I will check the film schedule. Even if it is not this weekend we would love to get you involved. Not sure how having two simialr cars in a movie about discovering a unique car will work but hey, it's the movies so anything is possible*!!
*Especially if you can link the guys up with movie mates

WCA – I did wonder whatever happened to your ‘movie’ plans.
It will be interesting to see how people who know what they are doing approach the filming.
As I have struggled to pull all the GoPro footage I have taken into a single ‘joined up’ film.
Good luck, Paul.

It is noticeable that 3 hours of footage has made a 1:34 minute trailer. It is the editing which is the big skill I discovered when I started the film idea ages ago.
That and the time it takes to gather the film single handed.
Plus remembering which bits have been filmed when to ensure you don't drive up to the garage in bright sunshine and leave in the dark pouring rain.
I am keen to see what the lads come up with. It is funny working with 17 year olds who have clear ideas about what they want but are amazed you are letting then film you car and keep asking if it is okay if you rev your engine a bit.
More filming tomorrow with an amazing guest star joining us.

WCA - It was good to see how people who are studying film approach this.
There is definitely a few camera angles I will 'steal' if I make another car video.
A bit like Lucky, I did think your exhaust pipe is working wonders on the sound of your engine.
Well done, cheers, Paul.
