Default Power Steering?

Its one of those stupid questions coming from a bloke that's got very little mechanical knowledge & experience... but...

Do our 5exis still keep the power steering (like the donor) or do we not bother fitting it cause the car is light, rear wheel drive, rear engine, etc...??

No power steering (unless you really want it).

Car uses a Metro steering rack which is non power assisted.

You should be able take the powersteering pump off the engine too.

Thanks Holgate86!

You can see how mechanically educated I am! Just assumed because it sits on the other side of the steering wheel that its to do with power steering! DOH!

Hope I don't ask any more stupid questions like this! But I guess that's the idea - after hopefully putting this car together I'll be able to recognise a brake servo from water bottle

Cheers!
Dylan
