Default 5exi electrics

Hi, I am a new builder and would appreciate some help on wiring the 5AS unit to the Marlin/Rover looms.
Marlin's instructions are vague and rely on purchasing their harness @ £35!!!
I look forward to participating in this forum and hopefully will be able to pass on any pearls of wisdom I may have. I have already found the information posted very usefull.
Cheers all

Default wiring

I acquired a wiring diagram recently of the immobiliser system, I put it somewhere safe, when I find the sodding thing I'll let you know and fax you a copy.

good luck with build

Brian

Got the same problem as you Paul.

I've got the whole Rover harness, but it looks like I'll still have to buy the Marlin 5as loom.

Might be worth asking Dylan.

Not sure how the wiring goes as I done the turbo model. But on the Wiring instructions, there was at a guess 4-6 wires that needed connecting?

There was connect wire colour to ...... It was in Word format. Do you guys not have it? If not, PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy.

Cheers

Thanks for the replies guys. The instructions I had from Marlin were based on using their 5AS harness ( which is only about 6 wires) The multiplug from the rover has about 26. I can establish which ones are redundant, I think (ie. the c/door locking etc)
I am not sure how to proceed. Has anyone used the Marlin 5AS harness and if so could you let me know which segments of the multiplug Marlin have used and which colours go where with them?

Cheers Guys

My concern with the Rover harness is what to do with the redundant wires.

Earth / live / cut & hope for the best.

Marlin will not help on this, as they supply something to 'fix' the problem.

Default 5as wiring

I have found wiring diagram and pin data for immobiliser. The main connections are as follows;

pin1 ign supply
pin2 ground/earth
pin9 immobiliser signal to pin 13 engine ecu
pin10 antenna for remote control (part of donor harness)
pin23 starter relay pin2
pin26 battery supply

all other pins are central locking or miscellaneous items not required.

regards Brian
