Default type 9 to a crossflow

hi all, im trying to find the best and also the easiest way to marry a sierra type n 5 speed box to a 1600 crossflow, ive heard that ford part number 5010151 will do this !! i presume this is a clutch kit ? and does it bolt directly on without any mods ? any information would be very helpful, cheers Rob.

Default Clutch Components

Hi Rob,

Have you got this sorted now?

I too have an xflow mated to a type 9 box. I didn't use original Ford parts but understand a 5010151 is a complete clutch kit. I understand however that this part has now been superceded by a 5029557. Anyway, a quick check of my records (not sure how accurate this is) shows I fitted the following QH parts: -

Cover: Q10007
Plate: C784AF - I think the number of splines on the input shaft can vary so check this suits your box. It's been a while but the number 23 sticks in my mind for this plate.
Release Bearing: CCT132

Hope this helps,

Chris
