Default windscreen / door glass

Hi

I need to find out more about glass and the IVA? the term needing to have displayed by the "manufacturer" the relevent BS standard etc...!?

My local windscreen shop cut laminated sheet for agricultural vechicles
and can also cut flat float glass and have it sent away to be toughened etc...
They say "they" at the shop etch the glass with the BS marks etc...

Is this OK? if not where can i go for flat "one offs"?

Many thanks for any help

Dee

I thought that everything now has to be e-marked rather than just BS/kite marked?
you'll have to forgive me if they're the same, but i thought that they were a bit different and that when the switch was made to the IVA, you now had to have 'e'

Not familiar with the IVA, mine went through the SVA so looks like it's changed

Default BS / E rated glass...

Thanks for your thoughts.

Its a mine field...

Does anyone know anywhere which can deal with making / marking E rated windscreens and side glass?

hi dee
I'm on another part of this forum asking the same question. I'm lucky in the fact my replica uses a oem windscreen and rear screen, but I'm after side glass with the correct e-marks. Have you had any luck other than the replies on here?
