Default Ford Sierra Steering Wheel Diameter

Hi everyone,

I'm getting close to IVA now but have never bottomed which steering wheel to use on my Striker for the test. I originally wanted to have the horn on a push button on my mountney steering wheel, but this will prevent me from padding the centre of the wheel and passing the test. Hence I will have to panel mount the horn just for the test and create an unwanted hole.

So I've borrowed a standard Sierra steering wheel from a friend which is a little bigger than I'd like with a diameter of 380mm. I was wondering if anyone knows if this was the only size ever fitted to production cars or did they make a smaller one?

Furthermore, If I did use the 380mm wheel it would slightly overhang the side of the body work (I'm going to test with an aeroscreen and no side screens so not an issue from that perspective) and although this doesn't sound like great practice, would it get through the IVA?

Thanks

Chris
