searching for a Spartan

I am posting in the hope of tracking down a particular Spartan. My dad built it before I was born and was always sad about having to sell it to buy a more suitable 'family' car once my brother arrived! Ever since I can remember he has always talked about tracking it down in the hope of getting it back at some point. His 60th birthday is coming up so I'm on a mission to find out if that might be possible.
I don't really know how to go about finding it, to be honest. I know it's still registered in the UK with the DVLA, so that's a start.
The registration is MOH 55F and it's red. It was originally registered in 1968.

Perhaps I'm being naive to think it might be traceable, and/or willing to be sold, but it would be so amazing if it worked out.
If anyone has any advice/suggestions to help, I'd be very grateful indeed.

You could try contacting the membership secretary at the Spartans owners club......
