Default Old Kit Car Question

Hi Guys.,

New to the site and to Kit Cars, stumbled across the vehicles below and would be interested if anyone has any idea of its origins etc.

Led to understand has a wooden chassis , Has a badge on dash saying Altea , is powered by 1275 mini cooper lump.

Been unable to track any info on the www in general , understand has raced at Brands in the 1960`s

Would be interested in any info anyone may have.

Thanks

Colin

The company "famous" for building cars in the 60's (and 70's?) with wooden chassis were Marcos. But I have never heard on one with an A Series engine - they tended to use Ford or Volvo as I remember.

Cheers, Robin

Default Old kit car question.

Hi.,

Thanks for your reply.

A business partner of mine has the vehicle , together with the moulds and we are just trying to piece together the info we have.

We were originally told it was a Boxer but has Altea on Dash.

Understand originally a two man company which folded due to lack of funds after building a few cars which were raced at Brands

Colin
