hello Zebre,
I'm curious how things worked out for you with all the paneling. Is the body permenantly fixed or still in some way detachable?

Cést magnifique Zebre,
Performed a really nice job I would say. Much eye for detail. And what a big luggage compartment you have. The Triumph based cars, alle have to deal with a fuel tank and the leaf spring that are in the way. Speaking of wich, Where is your tank going to be?
I assume you are going to use sliding and tilting seats to get into the luggage room? One fellow over here in the Netherlands, also buiding a Sammio Cheveaux, is breaking his head over the fact that he doesn't want his seats to be too high. But maybe you are not as tall as he is.
This would be the car to discover the French Alps!

Thanks michiel for the compliments !
I would be very interested if you could give me the contact with the other owner of sammio chevaux. (in fact we are 3) I have find lower seat. I've got 48cm height in the car and the seats won't be higher. It will be interesting to see how the 2 cars are buit, maybe with a different way.
All the chassis is the original (just lower), the tank also.
two pictures to show you my chassis almostly complete (I'only have to place the air filter and the carburator). You will see the tank at the back just under the luggage's compartment):

Great pictures... I like the idea of taking the frame and body off as one piece.

I'm fascinated by the 2CV donor concept and wondered if a bike engine might add some zing to the car.
I believe there are a couple of three wheelers that use the Citroen gearbox mated to a Moto Guzzi motor, so I googled it.
Take a look at this, which looks like it would be pretty simple to achieve once you see how they've carried out the conversion -

Modified engine
I do not know about France, but in the Netherlands we are very limited in making changes to a vehicle. Basically you can only change one of the three major components: Body, engine or chassis. Whichever one you change, it needs to go through the very strict MOT. I have seen Guzzi's, BMW engine on 2cv but in Holland it is illegal. So with unibody concepts as nowadays the standard, we cannot make any kitcar from it. Only vehicles with a separate chassis
Also you cannot increase horsepower with more then 40% -
So all UK builders - you are quite lucky!
