Default New Guy

Hi all,

Thought I might just introduce myself here as I can't find the usual "New Members" thread.

My nickname is Cainzy, I'm 24 and I am looking at starting a build which might be a bit of a Marmite one for the more serious builders.

I intend to drop a Japanese engine in a chassis of something like Caterham (Lotus 7 replica) or Tiger etc. I'm not going to claim to know everything about kit cars, as I pretty much know nothing

I do have all the tools I need and a rough idea of what I want. There aren't any drawings as of yet. If I need any, I don't know. I also have mechanical experience (all be it limited to age!), and I'm quite handy with TIG and MMA welding.

Hopefully all should go to some sort of plan

Cainzy

There are a few builds that have Jap engines if your looking for non Litus seven type. Ones I can think of off the top of my head:
Tribute Automotive -mx5
Murtaya - Subaru impreza
Furore F1 Replica -mr2

But being a kit car, can put what you want in within size limits!

Good luck with the build

They all look pretty entertaining! I have toyed with the idea of dropping it in an Mx-5, but I didn't know you could get a different body

If you like the idea of Jap with a different body, there's also a

Verdanti and extreme sports cars off the top of my head
