Default Wanted - Triple 40 DCOE Webers

Hi all,

Looking to get my Cordite (yes one of them!) build back on track after nearly a 3 year layoff! and am goingto fit triple 40 webers to the 2litre Vitesse lump I'm going to transplant onto the spitfire chassis.

Been looking on flea bay for a second hand set but they rarely come up so might just have to buy them as singles or a couple of pairs and then sell off a single one but it's then sourcing the inlet manifold that will be a pain. Jigsaw racing sell them I know but expensive new.

So if anyone knows of any, either a set or individual bits that might be for sale can they point me in the right direction?

Build thread coming soon, watch this space.....

Cheers

Sorry I can't help with the carbs.

But I am really looking forward to seeing your build thread.

I can't remember if you have one of the original Cordites, or one of the MkII versions with the improvements Mac made.

Either way, it is always encouraging to read about what other people are doing.

Good luck, Paul.

Thanks Phil

I intend to rebuild the engine completely so will put in a more appropriate cam. By pipes are you referring to the ram pipes?

I'll also be having another look at your build thread. Did you use a stepped gt6 manifold or a straight one btw?

Cheers

A long lost friend of mine used to run tipple webbers on his race tuned GT6 engine. He used to race in what was then the TSSC (Triumph Sports Six Club) series. He had to go back to something more "traditional" as he was getting about 5 miles to the gallon!

Cheers, Robin
