Default Build your own Sports Car

As title, anyone attempting the build as per Chris Gibbs's book published by Haynes.

I optimistically bought it thinking that one day I may attempt it with a one off bodywork as per Italos designs (can't link to picture as it appears it's gone Italo!!)

BTW got the book off play.com for £13.50 delivered if anyone else is thinking of purchasing it.

Whether this ever happens is another story as funds are limited and I'll get strung up by me knackers if I don't get our house extension finished first, but I live in hope.

Donation of parts are welcome in the interim

John

I like it but prefer the green one you did with a different rear end treatment - can't seem to find the picture anymore though.

This is all pie in the sky for me of course, but once the extensions finished who knows.....

The green one was my mid-engine Seven design proposal, based on any mid-engine kit chassis......

I thought that this was a very interesting thread, that could have sparked good discussions, but......none!

Hi John

If someone is crazy enough to give us a free chassis to play with, we could come up with a new design for 2008......

Cheers

Italo

It's now 18/08/2014 and no there is still no action on a rebody for the Haynes Roadster although all suggestions as to which way the body work should go will be received with great interest.
