Default Possible Project For Sale

Right, unfortunately, a year after picking up my body from Poole, and having made absolutely no headway, I am considering letting someone else finishing it off. Due to changing circumstances I can no longer afford to have such a frivolous toy.
My choice is to either finish the build myself and sell it on as a car on the road, or to sell it as it stands. I thought I might be able to put out the feelers on here to gauge interest before I do anything else.
So for anyone possibly interested, I have a lovely Herald Chassis and engine, all rebuilt and painted. Not currently running, needs all electrics doing but engine turns over with good compression.
I have a 'humpless' body with Lancia front end, framework already fitted to chassis, screen, grille and dashboard. Floor boards cut to size but not bonded on yet. I also have mirrors, fuel cap, spitfire fuel tank (in good nick, painted in silver hammerite.), bonnet straps. I have a radiator from a polo which is a good size for the build along with a brand new electric fan. The chassis is on original herald wheels, but I also have a set of MGF minilites that need refurbing to go on. I also have enough bonding paste and fibreglass/resin to complete the build.
I think she owes me well over 2 grand, I'd be looking for around £2000 to sell as is. Anyone interested but put off by the lack of electrics I will sort them out at cost.
My other option is to bond the body on (a days work), get it registered and sell it unpainted for a bit more money.
What do people think, I know a finished car will be worth so much more money, but I have to face facts, I have neither the time or the money to finish her to the standard she deserves.
Cheers for reading
Alan

That's a shame, but a good opportunity for someone. Do you have any pics?

Thats a shame but I can fully undrstand how things can change during a build...

I personally , would go for fitting the body and getting her registered...you say the frames on , so fitting the tank , floorboards that you already have and bonding the body on is about a days work.
That extra day will give you a car that looks like its well on its way rather than a pile of bits and the registration being sorted will definitely create value also....

Hi Clive
I understand what you're saying about the collection, but I think we're too far apart on the price. Thanks for the offer though, it's much appreciated. If you can come up a bit closer to my price we might be able to do a deal.
Cheers Alan
