I wore blue and drove a tank - Scimitars and Spartans for EOD reconnaissance.

I felt a bit like Lt Gruber off 'allo 'allo when I was up in the turret roaring through Peterborough and I can understand why the Germans trampled all over Europe in their Panzers - because it was fun!

It was difficult to resist the temptation to constantly throw Nazi salutes at passers by but that was kind of frowned upon. Sieg Heil!

I never got to drive anything really big though and I've always had a hankering to have a clutch at a main battle tank. Maybe one day...

I always fancied having a go at paragliding, its just about the only thing I haven't tried to fly. I have quite a bit of parachute experience and have a commercial pilots licence and a few thousand hours so would be great to combine the two.

This thread really has gone off topic! Nice seats!

Ha ha! I guess you were a bootneck then?

I wonder how many people will get the link between the crab nickname and the colour of the RAF uniform shirts? Interestingly, pubic lice are now pretty much extinct in the western world...

Oh, and I spent 23 years in the RAF and still hate flying.

I thought you blokes wore black

I can also vouch for paragliding, it is a cracking way to fly and see the earth and also very peaceful.....much better than parachuting! Although I do strap myself to a parachute everyday I hope I never have to use it!!

No, although I gave the Marines some serious consideration before joining the Army.

This has nothing to do with American Cousins or seats, so it seems to fit quite well in this thread. Numbers 9, 3 and 2 actually made me laugh. Feast your eyes -
