Hi Craig and welcome.

If the car is already on the road and registered with a number plate, you don't need to SVA test. Just the usual, MOT etc.

Any pictures???

hmm sounds suspect. "selling the id".

I would ask the DVLA for advise.

have you got the link to the listing?

If you can get a reg. number and the chassis number is there you should be able to get the V5 for it, as limpabit says though best talk to the DVLA first and see if you can trace the registration via chassis number (if it has one!)

If it isn't already registered you will probably have to go through an IVA now not an SVA

craig, firstly, i dont understand selling the vehicles id with the engine and box, that does sound a bit strange? there should be chassis number somewhere ,if its been on the road previously
i cant think of a kit that is capri based, other than one, and that was an aston clone is it a jeep? in which case look at the chassis, there should be a number stamped somewhere also if you have any documentation that might show an identying mark, you will need to show this to dvla
all the best , with what ever it is you have bought

Hi Craig, try using another program such as Photobucket to post or failing that send it to me and I'll see what I can do
