Update, took the car back to the bodyshop, he took a pen and marked high spots on low spots, last time I saw that was on a college trip to the Rolls Royce factory in Crew, old boy beating out what looked like a good pannel, even older foreman came out and drew cricles on it. Anyway the crux of this is I will be sporting the rat look next weekend!

A good tip, he runs his hand over the bodywork to feel rather than look.

Good day at the BBQ (thanks Chris), epic wiper fail on the way, seccond wiper (drivers side) made a great woushing noise as it flew off on the M3, still I was pushing it a bit, think it landed in the central reservation they were chrome blades from ebay that were already rusting and a ss extention that I added, anyway going back to the Mx5 originals may try to get them chromed. Will also be ditching the leather straps as the bucles are rusting, they looked great for a while, but I will be adding Morris Minor hinges to the bonned and locking bonnet pins. Goot to see all the other cars, I was very impressed by Jason's progress on his soft top.

I hope the trip home didn't involve any bits falling off and you were in time for the Grand Prix. Thank you for making the journey and looking forward to seeing the car in paint for the next gathering.

Only lost a chrome wiper blade and it was going rusty anyway, going back to the originals, and revised the bonnet hinges.

Hi, these are M8 24mm stud connectors from GMT supplies on ebay, ground to a taper then fitted with stud bar, mine sit lower so you will need 40mm as used by our German friend.

New look front with Indian hinges, the cheaper of the two types had them anyway a ordered by mistake, and not quite the same profile of Morris Minor hinges but now fitted.
