I nearly went a metallic blue like that for my Z300S but decided black was cheaper

It depends if you're asking do we like the colour or the satin finish.
I like the colour and generally like satin metallic finishes but it's worth considering how the Kobra has lots of curves which will probably look better with a gloss finish whereas straight, angular edges look good in satin, like a stealth bomber.
Personally, I'd paint it that blue with medium/dark grey Cobra stripes, and put gloss lacquer over it. But it's your car and your choice
What about satin blue with gloss stripes?

I think that is quite a nice (& different/unusual) shade of blue.

Although I really liked the colour of that blue Range Rover you posted a photo of a while back.

Either way, your Kobra is shaping up nicely.

Good luck, Paul.

I think: it's your car so have it your way, it's all down to individual taste.

I subscribe to 'Octane', because I like period colour schemes, leather bucket seats, analogue gauges and Dunlop wheels with tall tyres - the cars that were cutting edge technology when I was a boy.

If you are an 'Evo' subscriber, I would imagine you'd find all the above a bit stuffy, and would prefer a matte black wrap, carbon fibre Cobra seats, a digital dash run by an app (whatever that is) and 20" Range Rover rims with stretched three-fives barely clinging to the bead.

That dark metallic blue would look nice though - very Ecurie Ecosse D Type. It'd go really well with 15" Dunlop alloys in white with 80 series tyres...

Good choice of magazines Mr Towed. I don't subscribe to any but regularly read both, along with Car and Classic and Sportscar. I find Octane reads a bit like an auction catalog. At the end of every article there is an explanation of why the owner is selling it and where you can buy it. Still a good read though

Paul, the wifes Range Rover was resprayed in that Vauxhall VXR blue, not sure on the colour name?.

I keep looking at the 2 colour choices and think im hoing to stick to the origional matt black/dark grey.

A few photos but not much to see from last time..

I was going to add some DRLs to the front but looking at it as it is now with the widened splitter and the holes I like it as is so only adding the front indicators (pics to folow next week)

Widened splitter

Rear cut out for the diffuser

Red? I just came across this today and really like it...

From day 1 of seeing the kobra being developed, I wanted to build a 1 and spray have it sprayed matt black. Now only 3/4 weeks away from paint and I keep changing my mind!

The special Alfa red is a candy and you have to be good to spray that

No chrome at all, all headlight/rear light rings will be black aswell as the rear diffuser that houses the numberplate

Few details....

Headlights with half led side lights, clear front indicators (going to change the bulbs to chrome 1s so the orange doesnt show through)

Rear lights, black trims and also going to change the rear indicator bulbs to chrome

Rear diffuser to hold numberplate, will have led number plate lights.

I ordered a new tinted rear screen as mine was split.
The 1 I ordered from ebay seems to be too small!
Im suppost to be picking the car up on 17th so hope the new 1 comes in time!

As The rear diffuser had to be shortend to fit the kobra body, a few inches was cut from the center and re joined so ideal for a square number plate....
