The first MX250C kit was collected on Friday.

The boot lid is double skinned GRP and uses the orginal MX5 hinges and latch.

The kit fits over the edges of the existing MX5 boot opening and are bonded on in the same way as the hardtop version.

Default No rear vents

Richard picked up his kit today, he went for the "no rear vent" option

And the "E Type?" grill opening at the front

The convertible kit fits easily in a regular Transit size van, unlike the hardtop

Yeah, missed one on Gumtree the other day. Wondering how picky I'm being - want a Mk1 1.8 with black leather interior, preferably a dark green paint job and within about an hour's drive . . . Is that too much to ask?

This car is finally going to get painted next week so you will have even more inspiration

Your wheels should look good in a similar colour, post some pictures.

It's painted!! These two fuzzy picture really don't do it justice. Old English White was a good choice and I may use it on the next hardtop build/demo with a big gold strip....

More pictures in the daylight.

I was thinking classic white for mine, but was waiting to see how yours looked in old english, I don't want mine to look modern, but I don't want it to look fuzzy like in the old days either, especialy as I've just spent a fortune on fitting wheels from a 1982 308. Better pictures requierd for insperation.

That said, looking again the lines on the car are spot on, sometimes I have to check to see why I bought one, then I know why, its worth the effort! Not everyones cup of tea but a classic 60's style sports car.
