Not sure what engine it has?

It says E30 2.3 170hp?

If it is a 2.3, it is pre 1985 (as supported by the A-plate) and would have originally had Jetronic injection and only produced 140hp. Post 1985 the 2.3 was upgraded to a 2.5.
The more fuel efficient Motronic injection only came in to the 2.5 in 1987 to produce 170hp.

It will be interesting to see what it goes for?

I hadn't noticed that.
Just looked up the reg. number on DVLA and it's registered as 2300cc, so I suspect it's Jetronic.

I agree, Mike. It looks like the early 2.3 engine so unless it has had some serious upgrading it will not produce anything like 170 bhp. Otherwise it looks like quite a good build so it will certainly be interesting to see what it sells for. If it sells!

Hi Mike,

if you go to this page......

https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/Ev...execution=e1s1

You enter the Registration mark and then have a guess at the Make. In this case I selected 'Other' and then typed 'Marlin'
(For my own car I have to type 'Marlin Sportster' )

You then get some limited info like this....(this is my own car!)

The vehicle details for F451 TRK are:
Date of Liability 01 04 2013
Date of First Registration 10 07 2008
Year of Manufacture 2008
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2793cc ()
CO2 Emissions 0g/Km
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour RED
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

have fun.......

...peter

Had to put 'marlin cabrio' in to get my details on g854uam

Somehow I don't think Sandie will approve if I start bidding

Anyway I rather fancy one of these:

It looks nice and easy to do. I rather like the idea I took a hard-topSierra and made a rag-top , and will take a rag-top and give it a hard-top. Sort of pleasing symmetry.
