What is the advantage of a Mk2 over a Mk1?

I just prefer the mk2 as it is newer and more reliable as we do alot of miles and go all over the place so a kit based on a newer mx5 would be better, however this one is a super motor that has two owners and had gaskets done etc recently so just my luck i will build on a newer one and it will go bang!

still got to do under the arches but i am tubbing the arch with thin alloy. Still got to stone chip the bottom and paint.

not sure to go with the Italian green and red stripe over the top of the car (each stripe around 40mm) or have some vintage ferrari yellow detailing around the mouth and the rear.

Wow, that's sooooooo much better than UPS Brown! If you post some pictures with boot and bonnet on I'd be happy to do a bit of Photoshop for the graphics.
