Default Using a MX5 rear end on a registered kit, IVA ?

Hi all, i am thinking on upgrading the rear end on my kit car, at the minute its is registered, but it is running a MK1 Escort rear axle on 5 link setup.
Now the idea is to swap that for a complete MX5 rear subframe, so subframe, diff, shafts hubs all but the Shocks, i will use the coil over i have so just new tabs for mounting them.

Question is, if i do this will it be back to an IVE test due to the work done?

wolly

Only you can decide this.
If it has already gone through the formal registration process (IVA or VIC etc) and is registered correctly why would you want to offer it for re-inspection? I doubt that the original rear suspension type was recorded when inspected for the first time. Take a look at INF26 click her

Its not that i want to put in for a IVA again, be mad to want to as it will never pass nowadays. Just wonder if it is allowed to be done without needing to be inspected again, i have had different things said, as its a suspension modification so will not be allowed with out be inspected once done.

I cant see the problem but i dont know all tat much on the changes allowed to be done.

i tryed to call the local VOSA IVA point but no answer for a few days.

i will have alook at the link you gave, thanks for that kida.

wolly
