I picked up my ticket from Post Office collections as I wasn't in when they delivered it and realised it it next week!!

I had better make the wife's birthday on Saturday a bit special as I will be leaving her behind for this little jaunt.

I don't think she was overly impressed when, for the family barbecue to celebrate our 21 years together, I told her I would be up at Stoneleigh. Apparently the BBQ was very nice and everyone wished us many more years together...

I was hoping to go to this but funds have decided otherwise. However, my youngest son will be there so if you see a Valvoline sponsored Lola T70 flash by, run by Raceworks Motorsport, it's one of the cars he's helped prepare.

Cheers Nick,

Very kind offer, but I am silly busy with work at the moment, and my Passport has just run out.

Will I get a Blue one next time I wonder ?

I am planning on staying tonight in Folkstone so I don't have a silly early start tomorrow morning.

Stuff piled in hallway ready to load the car

Err , is that everything ?

Might want to go through your check list again !

I need to start thinking about packing , I'll leave it till later!

The beer is in the fridge cooling down now so that's one thing I haven't got to worry about !

I did try out my old tent the other day to see if my double extra luxury air bed will fit , it does but the sides of the tent bulges out a bit .

Through customs and about to load the train when the engine dies. Lookz like the inlet pipe is loose under the exhaust manifold

Far from ideal, hope you can fix it.

WCA - Did you make it to France?

Any updates, or more importantly, photos?

Cheers, Paul.

Just got back.

Fabulous time after a slightly dubious start.

Thanks to Paul and Bob.

I will post pictures with the story on this thread when I get some time this week.

Tired, sunburned but happy.
