Default retro looking car stereos

Just thought I share this with you all, especially anyone who's building a 'period' looking car (Sammios, Cabrios, Sportsters, Banhams etc), and want to add a car stereo that doesn't scream 21st centuary night club with all the blinken lights.

This place:

http://www.classiccarstereo.co.uk/

Do a selection of classically styled stereos, what have modern internals and the stuff most of have come to expect from an in car radio, such as Aux in, high output and iPod / MP3 player compatibility.

Some of them really look the buisiness. And not that expensive when you look at the specs and the unique styling compared to the halfrauds boom box specials or bespoke conversions that you can get done using original, vintage car radios (like these http://www.tadpoleradios.co.uk/).

Cheers

Jason

Thanks Jason, great link. The "model 1" looks really impressive and ultra flexible. John

Those do look good but a bit spendy!

I think I will have to dig out an old radio and do some electronic mods to it so it takes a signal from my phone to play music.

Hmmm...

a Sportster with a patio, very sheek

Just imagine after a warm evening drive in the countryside, as the sun is setting, you can stop for drinks on the patio....

Just so you all know, you can now get the latest and greatest from RetroSound from www.retrocarstuff.com in the UK, Model 2 with Bluetooth and iPod, Hermosa and RC900 aswell as some slimline speakers.

I found their radio builder tool handy
