Original, unrestored and the owner uses it as his daily driver, touring all over Europe in it.

Last week's Classic Car Weekly had a sad article about a collector with a Wedding Car Hire business which had gone up in flames - CCW described one of the cars as a 1930's Beauford! So even the classic experts can be fooled!

I'd be interested to see the article/pictures btw, even if it isn't my car.
Me thinks you're protesting too much as that Shakespeare bloke would have said.
To use your trade vernacular, you're banged to rights my old China!
Evidence to follow.

Page 17 of his month's Viva Lancia, no less.
Either they've been fooled or we've been fooled

In a terrifying twist, it has come to my attention that on this very forum, there is a virtually priceless 50's Lancia sports car that its owner is pretending to be a Tribute self-built car. Presumably so he can enjoy the banter and many discussions about the best business strategy for Tribute Automotive, which we all know, love, and share selflessly.
I know you must be a shocked as I am - it made me choke on my shredded wheat.
This month's 'Viva Lancia' - the monthly magazine of the Lancia Motor Club - has photographic evidence of this confidence trickster in action at Woburn Abbey.
A photo will be added later - to allow the perpetrator a chance to come clean before he is outed.

I was confused as the car in question is a Sammio.
Unlike a Tribute they require far more skill to assemble.

No bolting on body panels and complaing about millimetre panel gaps.
If you complete a Sammio you have overcome many obstacles and MR T's is one of the best.

Thanks for the compliment Roadster. Building the Sammio was a challenge, yes, but also enormously satisfying. I'd recommend it to anyone who knows their way around a spanner.

What is your tool of preference 'Snap on' or 'King Dick'?

So long as I don't snap off my King Dick I don't really care.

The problem with trained engineers is when the 1 way they try doesnt work, the job stops. They only trained 1 way. Back to the drawing board.

Bolt or nut too tight? The jobs stops if you hold it in the middle. Holding it at the right 'end' makes all the leaverage count......

Just ask a sparky. They have all the answers.....

I dont really care if a car is rare if its this ugly.
Which is the front?
Has it Russian styling?
It looks like a shoebox on top of a cornfakes packet!
The guy needs a medal for driving it, let alone around Europe.

+1

The finest post in recent weeks, some of the newer tribute fans need a reality check!
