Default Fitting the dash panel

This is a question for those of you that have already finished or are at least almost there. I am thinking off how to fit the dash panel so that you can't see any edges.

So - what is the best way to fit the dash panel. Does it go outside the flange on the scuttle or inside? Also, I presume the D shapped moulding that everyone seems to use arround the top of the dash is just a D shaped sponge section covered in leathercloth - how is this fixed?

Cheers

Robin

The dash mounts on the outside of the Fiberglass panel and is held on with the protective strip which has a metal backing with threaded rods through it you then fit some wing piping around the edge so you get a nice finish.I have included a small drawing of how it fits together.

Thanks for the diagram, once I've had my door fixed I'll be start this stuff too Think I will start with a cardboard dash to help decide where to situate the gauges.

Default Dash mounting

Thanks Stuart.

Did you get the D shaped mounting from Marlin?

Thanks
