Your car looks fantastic. The end result after all your hard work just goes to show what can be done. The paint has worked out really well , I thought it was going to look to "chrome" like but now you have all the bright work on the car and with your choice of wheels it looks spot on. Tyre choice is in proportion to the car too , the best 250 I have seen to date , well done.

I wonder if it is possible to source the front side indicators with clear lenses? I love the look of the clear headlights, spots and front indicators, sort of put a modern twist on it.
I notice you haven't fitted the door mirrors yet, I have the same mirrors and found the rear disability awful so i bought a pair of
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1420849851...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
these have convex lenses and give much better rear visibility, the originals will go back on Ebay.

I also bought a cheap set of HIDs for the headlights, I think I will leave them out for now if they are going to project too high.

Love the bonnet catches but still not keen on the fitment of a bug screen ion the bonnet.
Thanks for comments, for mirrors, I drove around with them late last year and although visibility isn't great they did the job, and also going for look than practicality, each to their own I guess. Will have to strip doors off to fit mirrors and handels, no biggy just need time to remove and fit with screw lock. Also I have no intention of driving at night so although hids sound great, for me not too much of a draw back, especially as headlights are pointing skywards currently on max adjustment.

I'm not also sold on bug screen but really want to get close to vision in my mind, so will at least see how it looks, will not drill holes until 100% satisfied. Let's see how we go on that one.

Side indicator lens are original Oem Ferrari, in fact the only true Ferrari parts on the car, not sure if you can source them clear, but sure you can get close to them by looking around.

Really looking to see progress on your car, all the best!

Cheers

Many thanks for your kind comments, I can't take credit for paint as it was via a third party (Nubodi), I was looking for a chrome effect but at the end of the day it just didn't work out due to massive complications with paint and processes to get it correct. Therefore have settled for a metallic silver, which really is the best scenario. I'm pleased with the results and will be moving forward to get the final result I am looking for in coming weeks.

Cheers

I have ordered from ebay some repeater holders and led lights to replace the orginal ones due to not having a metal panelled car so earthing issues

IMG_5671 by eric holm, on Flickr

The metal one was the original one and you can see it only has a live connector as the earth was to the side part that 'plugged' into the repeater that in turn is screwed into the body of the car, making the earth. On a fibre glass car we can't do this, so initially I soldered a wire to the outside surface of the metal holder, but in general this didn't create an effective circuit. also didn't look right, so scoured the internet for an alternative and came across a modern part that fits well even though it is all a little longer. This gives me 2 plugs to attach to and will work perfectly.

BTW the repeaters are from http://www.okp.de/xtc2/Ferrari/55-Li...ia::17882.html

Wink Car pretty much complete

Well I am pretty much finished on my car and want to thank all the people who have helped me along the way, This forum was fantastic and I will be dipping in every now and then to see other progress. Special thanks to Nubodi for getting the gaps sorted and all the hard work with the prep and painting.

This weekend I completed the wiring loom and made it good, put both door handles and mirrors on, tidyed up the top of the doors, painting them black on the inside so they look good from the inside. I have one piece of trim to put on the top of the drivers side door, you can see from the photos below that I had to improvise and apply weight whilst it bonded, still some detailing to do but these are minor things will post more when there are any significant changes.

Oh and the interior needs a right royal clean, so kids will earn their pocket money!!!

MOT this week,,,,,,fingers crossed.

Cheers for now

Andy!!!!

Beautiful car. You have ended up with the best 250 swb in my view. No offence to the others. It's the detail and the silver really sets it off.

Good luck with the MOT

Dave

Ha ha, wish it was. Not sure what else I could have done other than stand there a few hours pressing down on it. No worries, the risk was worth it!!!!

Looking good.

All you need now is a Daytona to compliment it, you have a double garage, start nagging Chris!!

I do think a bug screen will break up the flowing lines, sometimes less is more.

I do like the Tax disc - lovely feature.
The scale is emphasised by being next to the Q-porte (and further from the camera).
It looks fantastic.

Enjoy,

David
