Reliant scimitar might be a good option as it has the space and set up for 4seats. If it were me i would probably have just 4 seats which means you get decent space and don't have to have yo feel squeezed in at the back. Being fibreglass you can move the glass and panels around at the back . Wing heights allowing for suspension. Yes i know its a classic but some curves would go a long way to make it more attractive. Not sure bout engines and being reliable.

Hope to be visiting the workshop soon. Gonna try and get the back end lines softened and filled so then can focus on the door line and grill. Have had days when I just wanted to throw in the towel but its getting their now and then I can see the overall outline coming together. Chris has been very patient. And I appreciate all the hard work the team have put in. It's not like the disco volante from touring where the lines of the c8 help the build the mx5 has thrown some curve balls.

Needs a little tweeking to soften the outline of the rear wing. Next is the door line.

Chris: why based on the MX5 and not on the Z-3?

That's on its way to being another great looking coupe, you guys really have got the Midas touch. What's the 'rear' screen from? Looks to be a front screen from something.

My guess was a Spitfire as you can see the soft top fixing.

Visiting headquarters next week having a go at creating the zagato bulge on the driver side wing. Fingers crossed it works out. Then can see if it works with a door panel as well, going into the front wing.

They seemed to have a narrower track at the back. So by using the width of the original door and have that line going into the slightly wider wing of the swb front end. If possible to have flared arches put on an original front end and not from the z3 kit. As I'm aiming for a period custom. Hence the alloys. Some Alfa sprint veloce had their wing arched flared to allow for wider wheels

What a beautiful car - the overall shape, especially the glass area is very Jag mk2. I really like the chrome number plate light with the brake? lights set into it. Lots of potential for this Tribute to look incredible, keep up the good work!

I like the way the rear 'fins' are developing. Any chance they could find their way onto the 250SWB convertible rear end? Maybe shaped to take MGB rear lights...
