Mine's going to be black, with chrome lights and other bits and pieces. Burgundy trim and seats in the cockpit.
Just wondering wether or not to get the front wishbones chromed.

Colour
Can't make up my mind about colour - I had thought about a two colour job with the wings a differnet colour.
My previous Marlin was old english white with a red leather interior - but somehow I dont think that will suit the Sportster - gotta be a dark colour.
You have to be a bit careful about chroming suspension bits - I am sure I read somewher that the chroming process weakens the metal. More to polish as well!

This is the most difficult part of the build!
Deciding what colour to paint and then you dont like it Arrrgh!
Im looking at BMW Burnt Orange or Candy Apple Red. but then i see another colour i like and it all goes out the window again.

Do we have any Photohop experts on line?
Perhaps they could colour in Stuart's unpainted car.

Hi Rich,
Is there any chance you could 'shop the black sportster pic to have dark red seats and cross spoke alloys? Other than those features, that pic is pretty much what I have in mind - mirror like black!
Cheers,
Jason

Jason, i've made the seats red
For the wheels you would need to find a link to a decent image of the ones you like. I can have a go at overlaying them, wheels are generally hard to apply to an image, however I'll give it a go when I have some spare time.
Also Stuart do you mind if we use the image of your car? (a little late, but I can remove the images)

I dont have a problem with you using my pics Rich.
Great pics of different colours I hope it will help all you guys in deciding if the colour you are considering is correct.
I am now looking at the new Ford Focus ST Orange.

I saw one of those going the other way on the A34 last week - such a bright colour definitely an attention grabber.

Jason here is the black with the BBS wheels on (looks a little funny but wheels are hard to get right) I've made them a little smaller so look sorta like 15" wheels.
Stuart, the orange is probably not correct on the sportster, it would most likely look different in reality. The same with all of the photoshoped ones, its only an approximation.

Awesome Rich.
I bow before your photoshop prowess. I know it's approximate, but I don't think the 15's look out of place. Which is nice, as I can probably bick a set of those up at a reasonable price.

all I ment with the photoshoped wheels was that the perspective is off.

I'm thinking of the light blue that the mini comes in - possibly with dark blue wings - I personally think that dark green is too cliche and the other Marlin models are frequently dark blue....
Gotta finish the car first though....
