Thanks for the comment John

I agree with you on the look with the doors, but it would be a little more expensive to manufacture, and my idea was to eliminate extra work.

A very basic one or two piece fiberglass body to bolt on to the chassis, or that is what I was aiming for.....

What do you think of all those 800 and 1000cc japanese citycar engines from Suzuki, Toyota Yaris, Honda for this kit?

Cheers
Italo

I think the small modern engines would work well in this sort of car but 1. it would bump up the cost considerably and 2. People in general like cubes, the more the merrier so I would guess people would be looking at zetec/duratec power in something like this.

The smaller engine would be ideal for the younger kit car enthusiast though for insurance purposes.

What are the cheapest FWD. engines available in the used car market?

My other idea was to update the design of a Porsche 356 speedster replica.
I'll show some of my renderings , so that I can and get your feedback on this new design.

Thanks Ferg,

Looking at my renderings I was wondering if these are a speedster update, or instead a RSK 60 or RS 718......

Well I guess that, if you shorten the rear overhang the mid-engine configuration is safe...

Let me know what you all think

I prefer it with the roof Italo.

That said I really like the design and would be very happy if I could buy such a car.

BTW Do you know how Mike's getting on?
