Default newbie help

Hi All. I've just signed up to the forum, something I've never done before!
I'm looking for advice about the hotrod bodies TA sells. I've got an old car which my dad built years ago (when the Q plate was first introduced). It's old style, topless, boat-tail back, and falling apart. I think the time has come to give it new life, and I'm wondering whether I can fit one of the hotrod shells to it. It was based on a v12 jag, but with a home-made ladder chassis and bodywork, wheelsbase was about 100", width was about 52". Does anyone know the dimensions of the rods and whether they are flat bottomed?
Thanks in advance for any help.
P.S. I can't supply photos as it's been dismantled for storage!

I think most of the Tribute rods are simple body tubs that can be mounted over just about any ladder style chassis. The bonnet can then be made to length to suit the wheel base, joining the tub and the radiator surround. Same goes for the width / track in that when you have your wheels on, the wings/ mud guards can be adjusted to suit ( if you fit them at all ).

If its on a Q plate and you don't chop the chassis around it will be classed as a re body.
