Holy sh*t!! Glad as you said the doctors saved the foot! Hope your well and not too bored by not being able to carry on the G46.

Hope recovery is a swift one

My worry is that I won't be able to drive a three pedal car and will either have to sell the G46 or convert it to automatic.

Not a difficult job on a Scimitar. Plenty of Auto SE5s around and I would be willing to give you some help in sourcing an auto box as a swap for your own.

I have salvaged the doors from this car together with a rather nice set of billet alloy hinges that are surface mounted a lá Mini. They may well be able to to retro fitted to the Spyder version, I assume the shape is about the same. Make me an offer. I am not available next week though. Bidding is at £1220 on ebay at th mo for the rolling gt6 chassis.

I believe these doors can be fitted to the Spyder body, but as far as I know the Spyder body will not fit the Spitfire chassis.
( Well not without major reconstruction work anyway.)

I can't tell from this photo, but I think the front bumper brackets have been removed from the chassis after the rebody inspection took place.

I can't touch the brackets on my own Spitfire until after this inspection takes place.
Which is my my bonnet will not currently fit as they are in the way.

So if I have understood the rules correctly, this car will have to remain a Sammio Cordite.
Unless you weld these brackets back on and they took the car back for another re-body inspection.

Obviously if you are planning to buy this car as the base for a Sammio Cordite you are in luck.
The inspection has been done and you can just get on with fitting the frame & bodywork.

Personally I wouldn't take to the road without getting a new MOT, but that's just me.

Sorry for the long reply, but I hope it clears a few things up.

Good luck with the sale and I'd be interested to see what it finally goes for.

Cheers, Paul.
