Nubodi started out using moonfruit to host their site, then later moved to a .Co. UK site. That site does not return pages except with the message in jag TV r's post. The moonfruit site is not returning all the previous pages in Google searches, and typing in the homepage address does not seem to work either. I think some folk are wondering if, given the dna experience, nubodi are also on the rack. For two sites to go awry seems strange.

Lucky – First of all, just to be clear, I know nothing about what is, or is not, happening with Nubodi.
So, can I just ask what site are you checking?
The website in this link is supposed to be the current Nubodi one:
http://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/node/6131
Tribute are very careful about using the words “1960s style” to describe the 250 kit.
Whereas, Richard uses the “F” word and calls it a “NUBODI AUTOMOTIVE 250 SWB koupe” kit in his advertising.
( Similar approach taken on the convertible. )
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C725995
Perhaps people think it is his kit rather than Tribute’s?
If I was a betting man, I would guess any potential issue would be with the use of the name, not the shape.
But what do I know?
Cheers, Paul.

I don't know. I can remember all the fuss with the Lotus 7 lookalikes and Cobra's. Whilst there are still plenty of lookalikes on the market for both , you won't find any manufacturers using the words Lotus 7 or Cobra in any of their advertising. Maybe that's what it boils down to, being a bit close to the marque ??
Everyone knows what they are buying when they buy a lookalike, I hope that all its about. Trying to pass off a lookalike as they real thing would be a step too far.

Stunning car built to a very high standard.
I would love to see a Tribute 250swb finished to the same standard with the same interior, could it command such a high price?
I still think the 250 is a prettier looking car.

What was wrong with VPG 69? And "no" - the DNA is more rare than the original

That add is a 'bit naughty' IMHO
Make: Ferrari
Model: 250
Model (alt): 250 GTO California Spider
A heart stopping brand new 250 GTO California Spider factory built in 2017
With just the price and one line to give a clue : Powered by a BMW 3.0 litre Z3
I can't see anywhere any mention that you are actually buying a second hand BMW Z3 with a plastic body dropped on. This is the sort of stuff the p155es of the F guys

Whilst the advert does not mention Ferrari in the main body, the badging is in the photos, and the standard form records Ferrari as the make. I wonder what the V5 shows? Not Ferrari surely. The advert is at least misleading, if not fraudulent. They only have to include the word replica and everything else comes into context. The website is equally culpable in my view.

Tbh you don't have to read far into the ad to realise it isn't actually a Ferrari, and the price should be a bit of a giveaway for anyone who actually knows anything about classic Ferraris.
Ebay do filter such ads out when they notice them/receive a complaint, but they don't seem to have an issue where something is accurately described as, for example, a Jaguar 'C' Type Replica or even Lancia D24 Spyder Evocation.
Some people just don't seem to understand 'the rules' though - take this Karma, the seller explains that he's had to relist it as ebay took exception to the use of '911' in the title...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferrari-D...wAAOSwsFpaGaKB
...and then relists it as a Ferrari Dino. Can't see ebay having an issue with that then!

WOULD THIS BE IT ... ?
Listed as Iconic Autobody creation ...a company started earlier this year by someone called Brian ....I'd make an educated guess thats the re-born DNA setup ...

That's certainly coming up as a 2.7 boxster! (uploaded by Dena)
Wow. Looks superbly done. Looks production. Wow (again).
Think they were saying turnkey only - tricky one. that was plan of Regal Classics with Boxster based Miura (quoted me 35k turnkey 3 years ago which i thought was cheap but never came to fruition and Regal have disappeared)

Its getting mixed reactions apparently ...people wrongly viewing it as a replica and getting their knickers twisted over proportions etc ....I view it as a homage , a modern rendition of a 356 , similar to the new Mini and new Beetle ETC ... And on that level , I think its very clever and a real credit to them ...

it's a retro take on the porsche speedster, an updated version just like what fiat did with the 500 ,mini, beetle etc
it was always going to be different size and propotions, it was never going to replica the speedsters direct, if you want that then get the chisel version
the other kit similar to this is the starke speedster in the USA, but look at there prices!!
