Default Got a base car :-)

I am now the proud owner of a low milage Mk2 MX5.
The £721 I bid on it is a bargain!!! It has a full service history too.
I'm going to be collecting it this weekend so photos will follow :-)

Do I have to go back to the workshop at this time of night?

Sounds like a very good buy, is it damaged?

No damage, just a few badly painted panels...
It has been sat a while and just needs an MOT

MOT cancelled...

The sills need a bit of attention before I'm going to waste £50 on a test. They are blistering the underseal and are only going to get worse :-(

All the rest of the car is solid, I'm stil a bit p¡55ed off the sills wern't mentioned in the ebay listing but it was still a bargain.

I can honestly say the car is the best drive I've had in ages, it's a real drivers car and it eggs you on to put your foot down a little more than you should :-D

I'm looking forward to getting it on the road properly so I can start getting it prepped for it's transformation.

It's worse on the drivers side, strange as most of the rain is in the gutter on the other side...

It's the only real problem with the MX5, you would be lucky to find one that has got zero rot. The Mk1 I picked up today was patched for it's last MOT, the sills are full of water where they welded over the drain holes!!!
