We have used Clubman Classics and modified Minor seats ...I also have some mouldings for some basic shells that would fit but need trimming...they look a bit like the old stacking chairs from school !!

Ebay is possibly the best place to look....

Oh....seeing as you boys are mostly West Country - I have a mould for Tractor Seats as well.......

After a lot of searching, measuring and more measuring I ended up using Cobra Classic bucket seats from Moss:

Yup they're higher that what you're talking about but then again i'm 6ft2" and my primary goal was to get something I'm comfy sitting in. Which is also why i ended up getting them from Moss as it's close to where i work so i drove down there and tested them first!

I've ended up lowering the floor pans and also tilting the seats backwards slightly, that is partly to make them fit but also I've ended up with the most comfortable driving position for me. I would post a photo but I'm doing a lot of sanding atm and the seats are wrapped up and in my attic to stop them getting damaged.

I have looked at the boat seats on ebay as well .....cheap and period looking.

If they are mounted securely to the floor , I don't think the tilting matters.
