what tyre size would be best on a 16 x 8. 45,55 profile. with the rear arch giving the total diameter without it being cut or rolled.

You'll find loads of information by googling it. This might help

Really like how wca's paint went anyone know a paint shop who can do a simple spray job just to give the car a colour and to seal the shell for when it rains. Eg a simple colour choice with laquer. Thought I'd ask anyone's view on the who prefers the 2vev front to the 1vev front. 19 were made only a few with the 2vev front. Shape reminds me of the jaguar xkr but with a stretched Aston grill.

Its come to the point in the build where final results are set in place in the shape. Tightening of curves and definition of the shape, contours and bulges. If anyone can put up pics of the 1vev and 2vev front ends as i don't speak laptop.

The original idea was to use 1 VEV shape as inspiration:

But it turns out that 2 VEV shape is closer to the original photoshop idea:

The best elements from each is the way to go. Hate the rear wheel arch on 2VEV.

I'll add my grain of salt worth for 1 VEV.

Thumbs up Ivev

I must admit to me the 1VEV front is tighter and more cohesive look.

What I'm proposing is the use of the 2vev headlight area with the 1vev grill. The headlights moved in a bit to create the look of width using the mx5 width. The 1vev has very short overhang at the front and the mx5 was built with slightly more overhang as the popup headlights sat behind a metal bar. If all goes well the headlight covers will stay but just sits at a mx250 height.

I was thinking of fitting double exit exhaust to help balance the look of the rear. Mx5parts uk have a nice deal but that will be when I've filled the piggy bank back up. And when I've saved up for the other 2 rota rbs in gunmetal.

I've bought my headlights and hopefully if all goes well id like to have some tailights fitted that aren't period but look period. A bmw mini breaker sold me some tailights found on the clubman estate version. If they sit flush should look awesome

the grill on the black car is what im proposing but with the headlights similar to the first image. im quite fond of guinness and as the ads go "good things come to those who wait" and i think it will be worth it. :-)

so if you look at the last link imagine it with a 1vev grill. so a good mix of sporty and agressive. bit like a jaguar xkr with a masserati gran tourismo grill.

Looking at the pictures on page 7 of this thread, Chris has it very close to perfection. Can we say 'just right' medium? Also his Miata to "Z" photoshop on page 2 shows the shorter nose.
