Default Little trip out

Have hardly used the 250 so treated the wife to a pub lunch at my favourite pub, The Flowerpots at Cheriton.
Glorious sunny day and about an hour each way, car was faultless after its steering rack leak.
We sat in the garden and it was amusing to see the reaction to it. Obviously not classic car nuts but it was interesting hearing the comments, nobody knew what it was. My favourite was "it must be Italian" because of the Borrani Milano stickers on the wheels. If it had been a car show the buggers would have been googling the reg number and looking for manufacturers markings on the windscreen. Just nice to hear the comments from Joe Public.

I have picked up another 2.8, according to the build spec it originally had sports seats, these are long gone but they have fitted an interesting replacement set. I'm sure they are BMW, no air bags or seat lifting as fitted to a coupe or convertible. Manual seat adjustment. THey do however look more retro than any of the Z3 seats, they have separate head rests that can be removed. I think they would be a great alternative to the MGB option I was going to fit and a lot less work and money.
The question is, does anyone know what they are from?
Answers on a postcard please.

They are from an E36 - probably a coupe.
