The Z3 without body panels reminds me a little of the Pontiac Fiero. You could drive them about naked (the car I mean), so I suppose you can do the same with the Z3 ???

My previous Silver Z3 was going to be Silver as per the SWB that raced at Le Mans early 60s , this one is going to be Dark Blue or Red or Yellow , God where is WCA when you need some colour advice

Put the car on Shipley to get some quotes for transport and the first company that quoted said they would do the 250 miles on *Trade Plates* know I don't now all the rules and regs for Trade Plate use but I assume the car has to have lights Geoff .

Really tempted to build one of these using a 2.8.
I have PM'd Chris for a price (guess it is c£3k based on the cobra price plus a bit more for the roof?)
Looks amazing in Silver or Yellow :-)
Just need to sell my kit car to fund the project......

It shouldn't be that much. Don't forget that the Kobra is a different type of replacement body which promises an easy to fit bolt on kit using the original BMW mounting points. The extra work needed to manufacture this is reflected in the price.
On the other hand, the Swb will be like the mx5 gto kit which requires much more work to fit and blend in. The mx5 kit is around £1900 so the Swb should be around that price.

Hi Geoff,
I'm following your car with a real interest from the beginning and Chris is doing an amazing job.
I just arrived at the good time this morning to see 2 of the 250SWB from the French Tour Auto:
one overtook me on the motorway as well
and other nice cars:

A very nice car Geoff. The seats are great, I will remove and store them away. Did you notice that odd paint blister on the passenger door? It's like a small balloon!
Will be cracking on with the SWB project post Stoneleigh.
