Default Kit car insurance for under 25

Hi all,
New to the forum I have an issue with my MEV exocet that I have just built in my gap year. However I forgot to check if I could get insurance on the car, so now I'm stuck with no insures offering a quote due to me being 19 even as a named driver with my father. Has anyone got any suggestions as to get me on the road apart from a track day, I'll take any advice! Thanks in advance
Harry

Harry - Welcome to the forum.

Have you been trying 'normal' car insurance companies, or kit car specialists?

Have a look in a kit car magazine to see who advertises there.

I use A-Plan for mine, others on here use Adrian Flux.

Footman James and Cherished Vehicle Insurance are just a couple more.

Good luck, Paul.

PS
Any photos of your build?

Hi Paul, yes I've been trying just about every specialist insurer including all you mentioned apart from cherished vehicle insurance so I will give that one a go thanks!

Harry - Nice car.

Hope you can find someone to insure it.

As a last resort you could try "Drives like a girl" if that is still going, as they required you to fit a 'black box' and would refund part of the premium if you drove "sensibly".

Cheers, Paul.
