Quick Brake line questions

There are 6 lines in the Marlin kit.

The long one goes from master cyclinder to the back splitter.
The shortest one from master cycliner to front splitter.
The 4 left . . .
Is it the shorter ones for the front and longer for back?

Also Marlin use a small piece of pipe and tie raps to fix the lines to the chassis.
What has everyone else done?

You are spot on with the pipes.

Youshould have 2 Brass t pieces and have fitted 2 rivnuts in the pre drilled holes in the bulkhead and firewall.

The short line (1 off) goes from the rear connection to the front T piece, then the front connection goes to the long (1 off) line.

Just branch the front pair off and then the slightly longer rear pair tying off at regular intervals to keep tidy.

Bt the way Marlin will have supplied a pack of very small brass washers which you should use at the joints. Failure to use them may result in leaks!

Brass washers . .

I have then for the joints at the 'T' pieces, but not at the callipers.

Do Marlin supply these?
I thought I would need to go to the local motor factors.

So can you cable tie the lines to the chassis or do you need a 'spacer'? (as Marlin have done)

No mate,

You only need the washers at the T pieces, they fit real snug in the calipers.

I have cable tied throughout, so I'll find out how acceptable that is whenthe car is SVA'd in a couple of weeks time!

Thought I'd update this.

Bought copper (standard) pipe and ends so I could use the R400 master cylinder with the Marlin lines.

Made 'em myself (got a brake flare kit) and fitted brake lines this week.
