Default Wiper Assembly

Hi people,

Why oh why didn't I keep the wiper arm and blade from my donor?

Does a Front Wiper Arm and Blade assembly from a P Reg 216 etc fit...or should I get a specific model arm and blade assembly?

hi all

one area I was looking at was using the rear wiper arm off a non bubble back 200 but using the new type of flat wiper blade off modern passats and toyota's. I have been told they work very well with a curve screen with a single arm as theyadapt to the shape of the screen and wipe very well in both directions.

all the best tony g

Brian,
Thanks for the info, saw a 214 at the scrappies but the rear wiper arm had been removed...doh. I've just fitted a passenger side arm from a 420 gsi M Reg and that seems to fit well.

NOTE, that the tapered splined holes vary in diameter between model years!

HTH people.

Cheers

John
