Default Pepper mint and Spiders (8 legged type)

I am sick of this happening to my wing mirrors

I heard somewhere that spiders don't like peppermint oil so bought some of this

Poured a bit into the wind mirror housing on once side of the car after removing all webs. Lets see if the drivers side gets webbed up while the passenger side smells minty and remains clear.

Updates to follow if anything happens

I have the same sort of problem on cars that don't get used enough. Might try some of that stuff.

And here's a spyder of a different sort as a taster for next month's Historic Specials Day at Cotswold Wildlife Park, Burford, Oxon- it's an E93A-based Nikri Spyder- the body kit was yours for £75 back in the day.

Seen at today's Old Ford Rally at Gaydon.

I have to say that the existing museum building has benefited as the exhibits have more space around them but in the new building they are rather crammed in at present:

Here's the car I'd have liked to take home- a 16hp SS Tourer:

Is this the only way to rebuild a car? Renovation as a spectator sport with those chairs there. My guess is a Standard Vanguard...

Saw this as well:

The ss brings back memories. My brother had a black one when he was in the raf. Well, quite a lot was orange underneath (rust) and he gave it away when he was posted to singapore. I can remember the glamour of being taken for a spin. I bet he wishes he had kept it now.

Good selection at Gaydon- well worth a visit even if they are displayed too close together.
