Default Gt40 build? (uk)

hi all,

im looking at options for a nice mid-engined 60-70s GT car (road and trackdays)

time and skills mean i cant do the work myself.. im trying to see if this will be viable

so, for example if i bought a comprehensive kit and a shop did the work for me.. how much do you think it would cost to assemble/register a GT40? such as the RCR one, or a Torando

other cars i like include the Dehallivand dino, but the mgf engine isnt ideal.
also like the porsche 904

i know turnkey cars direct from GT replica manufacturers are around 60-70k plus vat!

many thanks!
Ed

I built and own a gt40.
They take a lot of time to put together, the sellers of the kits tell you 1000hrs but its more.
It would be cheaper to buy an existing car.
I made everything so I am not a good judge of time as I spent about 15000hr plus over 10 years.

I do know plenty of guys who own and built and all where more than 1000hrs.

They are an awesome car, mine is very well sorted and I track it so I don't loose my licence.
Their are things quicker but its about the nostalgia and it does make you feel good.
