Default One of those days!!!

Sounds familiar?

So the intention was to fix the floor panels on the car today... Did anything go my way? NO!

First of all the Sikaflex adhesive that I ordered for next day delivery on Tuesday failed to get delivered...
Then the cordless riveter that I booked at HSS failed to get delivered to them... We're sorry sir, but here's a nice manual hand riveter for you!?
As I was determined not to waste the day I took it and commenced my search for polyurethane adhesive... Not the easiest thing to find on Good Friday! Finally found some after 90 minutes of driving from shop to shop and also bought a small hand riveter (I thought just in case and for tight spots). Also bought an extention lead so that I could use a mains drill instead of my cordless one that runs out of puff in about 45 min..

Got to the garage, plugged in the drill - nothing! The extention lead is faulty... ARGH.... Anyway, struggled with the short cord and managed to drill the holes - no problem... Then I put the adhesive tube in the applicator gun and no glue was willing to come out no matter what I tried... In the end binned it, tried the second tube and finally got the glue to come out... Phew i thought - almost there...
Put the panel in place, managed to do about 25 rivets (very nice indeed I thought) and then the stupid hired riveter breaks. Frustrated (glue on the panel, getting dark, etc.) but I thought no worries - I'll use the little hand riveter that I bought a few hours ago... Unpacked it, tried it - broken! Did not manage to do a single rivet with it!

What are the odds???

Is it just me or do you also find that sometimes its just better to go down the pub and have a drink instead?

Dylan
