Default Any of you guys going to LeMans 24 this year?

19 days to go to the 24 Hour race. This will be my fourth year. Sensible cars (Jag XF diesel and Disco) being accompanied by a 5 Litre TVR Griffith, and a Noble M12GTO....mmmmm, nice mix. Our car will be a deffo for next year, (SVA pass by then I hope!!!). If any of you are going this year please PM me your number if you like, or I'll PM you mine and maybe we could meet up?? Was a mere 50 feet from Alan McNish doing his LMP1 170 mph ballet display last year, carbon fibre raining down on you is really quite spiky!!

Bonnet de douche Rodney!

I was ther last year as well - wont be going this time as I'll be diving in the red sea then... Bad planning on my part I'm afraid. Probably going next year though. I'd love to give Vikki a run down there.

We could go in convoy next year GOO!!??!! Is a great run as you know down to the track, and then it's just petrolhead heaven for the whole extended weekend! You could even become an honourary 24 Heures Lecher (Lecher, as I and the other guys that go live in Lechlade, Glos), we've got the cars stickered up with our own logo and t-shirts and all that sad stuff going on!! It is a bit sad to create your own (tiny) homage to the likes of Pistonheads/Beer mountain etc.. but then I do have the mental age of a 12 year old when it comes to cars!!

On my last (and only) visit things were very different - it was 1964! I flew from Manchester to Paris in a Viscount (£12) and joined my late brother and two friends in a Triumph Herald Convertable for the rest of the trip. I remember good weather, a lot of beer and frost overnight.

Another visit was one of the planned trips for my Sportster but it will probably be a few years before I am ready. Watch this space - patiently!

PS a few years ago I did manage to drive the route of the circuit in a Porche 911 GT4 cabrio whilst delivering the car to Majorca.

Indeedy!! Here's the sticker for our Le Mans 'crew' on my daily runaround. A chipped 1.3 diesel Panda. Goes like the clappers for a wee thing, Keeps up with 1.9 Audi diesels (just about), which always makes me smile!!
Would look good on Vikki too I reckon!

Note the bald head reflection, God is not kind to me!!

A trip to Le Mans sounds interesting next year.

There is this outfit that does reasonable packages
