Looking at the width of the car , its going to be Jag / Daimler based ..but yes , agreed ..its not a monocoque mid 80's luxury saloon ..
It has been for sale before , pretty sure it sold for about half that last time ...ironically , it was this car and a couple of Aston's that confirmed to me that I wanted to keep mine more authentic by using narrower donors...

It does look like a well built and finished car. Its a shame that the ebay listing provides zero information other than the photos. It does look BIG though and for me ( if I was in the market to spend that much ) I would want a more authentic replica. I'm sure these cars were similar in size to my 250 TR project, fitting over a "7" style chassis.
I'm sure it will sell, probably to a company CEO or similar so he can show it off to his mates at the golf club !

AGREED ..IT'S A LAZY ADVERT ...

It is way too wide .. I was stood next to a genuine example not too long ago and saw this one or a very similar one at Goodwood a while back ..it's at least 6'' wider than a genuine car ... The MEV Replicar and all the Jag based Aston's have the same issue ..modern donors are generally wider ...

Its a pretty car ..but I also would expect more authenticity for the money ...

It looks as if it has bolt on wire wheels, at that price!
No mention of what it is made off, LHD on a UK car and registered as a Daimler so will it need an IVA to be correctly registered?

I wonder how much Lancelot link would charge for one of his with a Jag V12? I bet there would be a little change left.

Unless it's a re-body on a Daimler chassis?? (Did an '84 Daimler have a chassis?)
If it does need IVA it will fail on the seatbelt mountings.(at least!!)

No they don't have a separate chassis... It will require IVA .....spotted the bolt on wires this morning too ...

Don't get me wrong , its pretty and has some nice touches ...interior does little for me , not keen on dash etc...but generally , its a good looking car ...but £175k !!

£20k ish , with a Jeff H standard paintjob , professional aluminium interior , correctly registered , classic car status , tax exempt , age related registration number etc etc.

I have a serious ongoing enquiry from a guy looking at using a Maserati engine ( twin turbo V6 ? ) he's been quoted around £16-18k with him supplying engine and gearbox ......so anything on that level can be deemed to be £20,000-25,000 as a ballpark figure ..

The finance package might appeal to some , £2447 a month for 6 years !!

Their website has no further info either.

They also have a BRA Cobra available for £33k with a Rover V8. That would be more tempting for me but it is still very much a top end price.

For that money you’d want a properly registered car could lead into a right minefield

found an rsk replica on a dealer website last year and it was registered as a 1302 beetle !!!

There is a lot of it about ...one of the reasons I moved away from Hot Rod builds several years ago ...it was getting difficult to build them and be able to avoid IVA ...

It does appear that the registration/MOT/tax class rules are all being tightened up/cross referenced these days.

Which makes the bonkers price seem a bit more bonkers really.

The fundamental point here is that the MOT inspector will need to confirm that what he testing is what it says it is on the V5. So with this one being so far removed it could fail at the first hurdle.
