I would like to say hello to all the members in this forum. I am thinking of building my own Kit Car. I know it is a long way ahead.

At the moment, I started studying about the space frame chassis. I bought the Build your own Sports car book just to get a rough idea on what i will be doing.

I will start the design of my own custom made chassis as i think that i might have a small problem with my Height as i am 6ft7" and i am about 110Kg. I checked on the internet and for Caterhams there is a Height restriction of 6ft3" and 17 stones.

So my first Questions for you all are:

Is there a member with similar body build?
Will i be able to fit in one?

Any help will be much appreciated.

HI Lord,

welcome to the forum,

You may not be able to fit into a Caterham, However i am doing a rebuild on a Tiger at the moment, for a customer and i believe i could modify that model of car to fit your size and with adjustment, If you are thinking about buying a kit from the factory then we may be able to have a look at it for you and make you fit!!!

thanks

Thank you for the reply.
I will be designing and building my own chassis. My next concern now is the footwell area as i wear size 12 shoes.
I believe the best thing i can do is try to find a tiger near by and try to see if i can fit in it before I start.

Thank you anyway. I will keep your offer in my mind.

Regards

L0rd
