Default Goodwood Revival 2015

Is anybody on here going to this?

If so, would you be able to take some photos of the Shelby Daytona Coupes that are gathering there for me?

I use a forum in the USA where they build replicas of these cars & I'm sure they would enjoy seeing them.

Cheers, Paul.

Hi Paul,
I will be there on Sunday and will try and get some photo's, depending on the sunshine (or lack of).

How about this one Paul

Taken this year at the Top Gear test track a Charity event for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We paid our money and got 3 laps of the track
This was top of my list but I didn't get a chance

I did end up in this beauty though

So many great cars here and no these 2 were not replicas

Roadster - I can add that Coupe photo too, as you don't see many RHD versions.

Although the car nerds would argue that it is still a replica/reproduction, even if it is a professionally built one to original specs.

That is why the "originals" gathering at Goodwood this weekend is seen as such a special event.

Cheers, Paul.

Sorry Paul, '66' has been pushed to the back of the garage whilst I helped my eldest with a semi sebring conversion and bare metal respray. I live ten miles from Goodwood so i popped along this evening after work in this just to have a look around and soak up the atmosphere.

There were about a dozen of the Shelby Daytona's in the pit lane garage, all tucked up for the night. Will try and get some decent photo's on Sunday.

Afraid I'm missing out on the Revival this year due to my parents' diamond wedding anniversary celebrations this weekend.

Looking forward to seeing some nice pictures from those lucky enough to be there though. I'd be particularly interested in some shots of any Maserati 300S's and Ferrari 250GT SWB's that are there.

Anyway, enjoy the experience if you're there you lucky !^%**!

Nice looking Sebring homage. Best thing to do with a rubber bumper 'B'...

Very underrated classic the MGBGT imho, still very cheap compared to anything Italian or German from the period and prices can only really go one way from where they are now, up!

Peterux - Thanks for that, I've passed the photos / links on.

That garage line up is a great photo and I liked this one too.

Here are some Goodwood revival pictures as requested. the shelby's were all lined up in the garages just behind the pits so it was difficult to get pictures - until by chance they pulled one out for a professional photographer to snap. My pic's are just off my phone camera.

Paul D - Thanks for doing that.

Amazing how good the quality of phone cameras are these days.

Cheers, Paul.

Here are a few snaps that might help, unfortunately since I am not a GRRC member i only had access to the back of the pits during the day, and the Ferrari display this year in the Earls Court motor show building.

I seem to have spent more time at Goodwood recently than at home.
Friday night after work for 'over the road'
Saturday morning classic car show and trade stands, Saturday evening 'Doom bar' and a sneaky peek around the pits after the ticket staff had gone home.
Sunday all day with an actual ticket!
Today, battle of Britain free entry event to watch the spitifres and Hurricanes - not to mention the only Blenheim bomber flying.
Just an amazing few days..

Yum, yum, yum- many thanks for posting those.

I couldn't help looking at the relative sizes and disposition of wheels within wheel-arches given the recent correspondence on here about such.

Not to get totally nerdish about this but I would like to know why the trailing edge of the front arches on the Fezza 212 and 250 are so different- just down to bodywork designer- Touring vs Pininfarina?

Lovely cars, absolutely stunning, even the 'barn find' 3500GT. Thanks to everyone who's posted pictures, I for one really appreciate you making the effort.

Really sad not to have been there this year and these pictures have strengthened my resolve to make the journey next year.

What particularly amused me about the 'barn find' Maserati was the rear light clusters were held on with strips of black electrical tape.

Does this count as original 'Patina' to be retained and valued??
