Umm

The Radiator that i have got is from rover part is number PCC001660SLP
allthough i did have to mod one of the bottom mounts
As for the thermo switch i am going to fit it in the pipework this is because the rads with a thermo hole are to big for the gap that the rad has to fit in

many moons ago, Trev gave me these dimensions: cheers Trev!

w x h x d 615 x 400 x 25.

That's for standard rad.

Jerry, after I saw yours a while ago, I went and did some hunting through catalogues at motor-factors. I found the radiator that fits perfectly (including correct outlet angles), and it as fitted to the 218vvc (and others).

The one I bought cost me £55 (inc VAT) from Serck Marston.

I did have the rover part number, but in moving home, have lost it to the ether.

Cheers,

John.

Gent's I recently purchased a brand new radiator for my 5exi build. The donor car I used was a R25 1.8 GTi. This was the inbetween model for the R200vi and the MG ZR160. The point I am making is that the radiator from my donor was wrong for our build in that the top radiator hose outlet was cranked up at about 45 degrees which kinked the marlin hose. So not sure if the VVC radiator is best.
I looked on the Rover EPC and found that the radiator required is off the R200 1.6 (as you would suspect).
Anyway I purchased the below online on ebay from Aaron Radiator company.

2AU-143 Radiator Rover 200 Mk3 95-99 1.6i 216 +A/C

The price I paid was £51.00 plus £10 P&P. Radiator fits perfectly and arrived within two days by courier.

They currently have quite a few for sale on ebay, one link is as below:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2AU-143-Radiat...QQcmdZViewItem

Just one thing I am not affiliated with this company etc.............just hope it helps.

Mike

Great info collecting Guys

I was wondering though as to how long the old rad design will be available for

As to the problem of the 45 Degree hose this is not a problem to me as i am using Samco silicon hose not the kit supplied marlin

Thanks Guys!!

I have just purchased one of ebay, I feel pretty sure it's the right one now as it's for the 1800 and has the entry and exit in the right place!

I purchased it from arron radiators as mentioned earlier by Mike

Cheers Craig
