I used seats and runners from an early Mazda MX5 in my Sportster. You can even get re-upholstery kits for them at a reasonable price making them as new.

They are far stronger (steel frame) and more comfortable than most after market seats.

Arthur - you could also try these guys:

http://www.interiorsseating.co.uk/

I got my seats from them. They're not cheap though, but they are well made.

Don't know what year but they are the ones with separate headrests.

Width a tad over 430 at 450 but the side support bits on the seat pad are responsible for the extra width and they flex enough to drop between the Sportster chassis which is about 430mm between the rails. If you are in any doubt about them fitting I would try and find some in a scrap yard and measure them.

I bought mine from Ebay - also the new covers. There were 2 or 3 companies offering them at the time in vinyl or leather.
